Currently the Euro is predicting about 1.5" to fall in San Francisco. The wettest August on record was in 1976 when 0.8" fell. The city has only picked up more than 0.2" in August ten times since 1850 so this would blow every other August out of the water if this ended up happening. The last time more than 0.1" fell there in August was in the 1997 year that has been brought up a couple times.

I would love to shift this map about a thousand miles north though...

CA is the new PNW so.  the map flipped

Thank you for answering!  Hope you have a great day and stay somewhat cool in the heat. :)

Lytton I believe hit a record high yesterday on a BC side-note. What's left of Lytton... :(

a bit cooler today. Haven’t cracked 90 yet.  The kids and myself have been enjoying a daily evening swim this week.  Takes the edge off before bed.

Lytton set a provincial record for august yesterday.  It was short of the Canadian record though.

The temps have been the same the last few days at the same time.  This is essentially the same temp as Tuesday and Monday the day before.  Yesterday we topped out at 87F.  Today is possibly a degree cooler. Overnight temp last night was 60F.

Juuuuuust a bit warmer here.

@Phil please investigate.   You said it was odd that it could be 7-10 degrees warmer here compared to Everett.   How about 18 degrees?

SEA is 89 on the hour... 3rd consecutive day of 90+ is a lock.    And close to 4 days with Sunday falling just short at 89.   Tomorrow is a wild card and should be close if the marine push holds off long enough but the cool down is beginning by afternoon.

97°F dewpoint recorded in Iran. Wow.

So I guess this means @Phil has to quit whining about the heat index on the Georgia Coast!  What he is seeing is downright chilly compared to this!

Updated track for Hilary. Forecasted to make landfall around Los Angeles on Monday as a tropical storm.

It would be on a similar track to the 1858 tropical storm that made landfall on Long Beach. Wouldn't be surprised to see an extremely rare Padres rainout in San Diego.
