my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.
I'm going to step back for the day too. It's just too much uninformed nonsense.
I am excited for a lot of you guys, because it seems like this is your first time tracking a PNW winter storm. I remember my first time.
A strong line of storms was approaching Cedar Rapids this morning, but it weakened as it moved through. I got about 0.33" of rain out of it. Another line of storms is moving into central Iowa, which may affect the afternoon/evening severe chance.
A nice couple of warm days on the way with highs near 80 degrees today and into the low to mid 80's tomorrow. Next chance of showers by Thursday. For the Memorial Day weekend Friday looks great with sunny skies and temps near 80 degrees. Unfortunately, our weekend pattern for unsettled weather looks to continue. No washouts but some showers are possible almost anytime through the weekend.
Daily records for Chester County for today: High 97 degrees at Phoenixville (1934) / Record low 30 degrees in West Chester (2002) / Rain 5.56" at West Chester (1894)
