Wow. 1.25" of ice in Eugene would be a nightmare. I'm a beaver so usually I'm supposed to not feel sympathy for the ducks but I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy

Not sure I’m just tracking where the north and south winds are meeting.

Is that how all fronts work up there? Sometimes our fronts only have a subtle wind shift but very large dewpoint drop.

edit: though in this case I can see why there’d be a switch to NE winds with the actual front.

This Arctic air is rushing in, This aint no trickle.

Typical of our beastly airmasses. That severely cold air rolls down terrain like a boulder.

I think this is coating number 6 for the week?  If we could have avoided melting each day we might have something.

Very reminiscent of last year for me. 18 days of snow for 16 inches. A lot of traces and half inches Still nice to have snow 🙂

Apparently it’s 39 degrees at home so we wouldn’t get much out of what’s coming down right now. Worried this will be our only precip and then it’ll be too dry by the time it actually gets cold enough.

If the arctic front is up @ BLI I guess that’s just a low level dry pocket west of Mr. Vernon then?

Interesting. So many microclimatic quirks.
