Gorgeous sunset from Mt Tabor park. Lots of big, downed trees on the north and east side of the park from our ARCTIC WINDS three weeks ago. But honestly the damage wasn’t quite as bad as I feared. I guess the historic shelter took a pretty good hit but that part of the park was cordoned off.
I was intrigued so I looked up the average high and low temperatures across WA for August of 1899. Olga's average low of 45F is pretty impressive as it's about 4 degrees colder than anything we've seen in the last 50 years. The fact it's so much colder than every other location on the west side does make me wonder if there was an error with the thermometer at that time or maybe it was just incredible cold winds blowing off the straight.
The Seattle average high for the month was almost 10 d
I doubt you listened a word he said. I listened and re-listened to his podcasts back in ‘21 & ‘22 that dealt with this. He openly corrected where he was wrong. Funny how those that bleat about “the science” slander actual scientists when there’s scientists that disagree, when scientists point out the authoritarian moves to force people to fall in line.
He is not “Trumpy.” He’s a moderate leftist. But for you and others like you, those that don’t fall completely in line with leftist dogma is “Trumpy.” He’s to the left of me on many things. (You’re a perfect example of why much of the moderate left is now in the middle, courted by Republicans). But I respect his and Heather’s insight. He hasn’t changed politically over the years. Do you know how him and Heather were propelled into the spotlight? It’s a wild story how the social justice Neanderthals were physically after him at Evergreen State.
Lastly, I noticed you directly ad hominem attacked him without addressing his observations.
Weinstein is a well-known nutcase active in the antivax and conspiracy theory communities.
No big surprise he’s jumped onto the Trumpy anti-immigrant train.
We are getting closer to our final month of Met Summer and the good ol' "Ring of Fire" pattern appears it will fire up quite nicely for our Midwest/Lakes members. Boy, hasn't this been the theme for a long stretch this entire summer so far. I would not be shocked to see Chitown in the bullseye again during the 1st week of August....just before a major trough hits the GL's for the annual Chicago Air & Water Show! Should be a nice weekend for that huge and exciting event.
