You can see very clearly how that Greenland block displaces all the Arctic air. Good wavetrain pattern being birthed near the end as well, as Arctic air shunting southward in SE Asia forces a budding ridge to its east.

30 hours worth. I didn't include hour 216, because for some reason it is not loading on the website, but it is pretty much winding down by hour 210.

Thanks. Yep and with systems moving inland to the south there is nothing to disrupt or mix out the Columbia Basin cold pool, especially if they can manage some snow cover. I'm finding that possible scenario quite interesting.

I had no idea that this existed! I currently have an old desktop computer and basically all I have it doing is saving my data and uploading it online. My data logger is super finicky (I even got a new one a couple years ago that didn't work much better) and it disconnects about once a month. I've spent so many hours troubleshooting that system, this would honestly be a life saver.

I'll have to look into getting it in the next few years.

Surprised how much snow held on today. Got up to 39 and now back down to 29. The roof on the left edge of the picture faces directly south and usually loses it snow pretty quickly. The cold air is working out for me tonight, been working on the car most of today/tonight, and my wife went to bed before got in and got settled. My wife gets grumpy if I go digging in the fridge after she falls asleep (wakes her up) so I snagged a beer earlier and put it out on the porch. About to go crack it open and enjoy!

Looks like we have about the same amount of snow remaining! Oh and ask Santa for a mini fridge for your garage or shop...I know mine comes in quite handy!

Yup, YVR got skunked. Didn't even record flakes in the air at the airport.

Ended up with a much more winter like 46/34 spread here today. Scattered showers through afternoon then clearing with some low clouds and fog.

I think they managed a moderate rain snow mix for an hour with a temp around 36F.

Surprised Abbotsford only recorded 4cm just a few miles away. I still have more than that remaining after 24 hours of melting.

Yea. I know parts of Abbotsford were more in the 4-5” range. Not sure why the airport was so low.

12 AM PDX/TTD-DLS Gorge gradient just turned offshore. East winds will be developing before sunrise. Here we go!!!! I'm off to sleep. I MIGHT be here for 12z. I dunno. I have a lot of Holiday baking and stuff to do today.
