Popular Post snow_wizard
I have no idea why I'm sharing this, but I finally broke down and got some meds to help with my mania, depression, and anger issues over the weather. It will be interesting to see how it effects my posts. It literally got to the point where I couldn't enjoy anything because I was either so wired or so depressed I rarely saw things as they truly are. My recommendation for all of you is don't let yourself get to where I was. 12 Quote Death To Warm Anomalies! I am trying to just take it as it comes and be realistic about where we live. I hear you with the getting older part. Believe it or not I've mellowed out tremendously. I think having kids helped too. For me it was baseball growing up that I was way over passionate about. I remember it peaked (or bottomed) my sophomore year in high school when I got ejected from two games, one for arguing balls and strikes (I was pitching, bad idea.), and then for disputing a play at first base in another game. Honestly I had to get to the point where I realized I was embarrassing myself, my family, and my teammates. Just like I would never reach my potential as a player when I had such a warped perspective, the same goes for forecasting or any other walk of life. After high school I took a little time off and when I went back to college in Oklahoma when I was 22 I was such a better player than before because I had seen a little bit of life by then and realized that it was just a game. As this is just weather. PS...I hope it snows. 1 Quote Snowfall Precip 2022-23: 95.0" 2022-23: 17.39" 2021-22: 52.6" 2021-22: 91.46" 2020-21: 12.0" 2020-21: 71.59" 2019-20: 23.5" 2019-20: 58.54" 2018-19: 63.5" 2018-19: 66.33" 2017-18: 30.3" 2017-18: 59.83" 2016-17: 49.2" 2016-17: 97.58" 2015-16: 11.75" 2015-16: 68.67" 2014-15: 3.5" 2013-14: 11.75" 2013-14: 62.30 2012-13: 16.75" 2012-13: 78.45 2011-12: 98.5" 2011-12: 92.67" It's always sunny at Winters Hill! Gradient Keeper
The 00z runs are starting. You can cut the suspense with a knife.Butter, Steak, or those fancy plastic knives? Yep... Good run? Excellent run? or just decent? It all depends on how strong/weak the Kona low is, Kamchatka low is, how far east the energy from the large trough associated with it extends beyond the Aleutians, and southeast ridging. The fact that CMC(GEM) Ensembles greatly improved and 18z also shows good improvement is encouraging. It's still too early to know if we're now seeing a new, positive trend emerging and even if 00z models tonight are great, we want to see solid agreement/continuity and run-to-run consistency for the next few days. Tonight could be the start of that. We'll see....
