TT-SEA
Something in that river drainage changed. Or heavy rain events are more common in current regime... or maybe global warming. Most of the flooding comes from rain in the mountains where nothing has changed. VancouverIslandSouth
Well, we broke Kamloops's all time contiguous 24-hour and 2-day snowfall record: 39 cm. Most since the record 40 cm in 1927. http://t.co/pJQ9CJ8ks4 I'm surprised there wasn't more than that in 2008, I was down around Christina Lake that year and there was easily over 100cm. Guess Kamloops was a bit far north for that.

VancouverIslandSouth
In 24 hours? That was the Kamloops record. It was over a week but there were definitely a few 30cm+ days in the mix. Kamloops is definitely drier but I would have thought they had at least one or two big snowfalls out of that.
westiztehbest
Decent thaw here the last couple days. Foggy and so forth. Only an inch or two remains. Looks like the CFS is locking on to a colder pattern later in the month (similar to last month). I see the end of the 00z shows a cooling as well.

luvssnow_spokane
We will pay for this come March-June.This is so true! Like some of us have been saying, the setup will improve for colder air to arrive. More often than not over the last 7 years the ideal setup always seems to occur sometime after February. A little to late for us low-landers but epic for the mountains. -- I do have hope this is not the case (again) this year.
