They really did. They would have fooled me. I didn't even know we could see Eastern Washington's weather from the west side here. That is pretty cool. I have a direct view of the Cascade's, but usually all I see are clouds if there is any type of weather over there. Nothing like the ones you photographed. There are parts of the Santa Cruz Mountains in California that get 90" of moisture per year but which look nowhere near as lush as areas in Washington that get half that.
