If so, rain is basically “steaming” because it is warmer than the air. Quote It's called clown range for a reason.

Geos
16 minutes ago, MR.SNOWMIZER said: Blizzard Yeah! That looks like a Midwest blizzard. The picture reminds me of the worst winter drive I ever did. In 2013, a couple friends and I traveled from Wisconsin to the Black Hills of SD and WY. It was March, so that is pretty much winter still for that area. One day we traveled up to Devil's Tower. It was snowing lightly, but nothing crazy. When we were leaving and headed back towards I-90 the snow really picked up and the wind. It was about a 50 mile trip back to where were staying in the hills, so I topped off the tank and we made our way back since conditions were going downhill quick. The next 30 miles was nothing, but near white out conditions with snow blowing sideways. It was open country, so there was nothing to stop the wind. The saving grace was that we ended up behind a snowplow. Was never more then three inches on the road, but it is a drive I will never forget. 5 Quote Mercer Island, 350 ft 2021-2022: 11.6", 02/21 2020-2021: 15.6" 2019-2020: ~10" 2018-2019 winter snowfall total: 29.5" 2017-2018: 9.0", 2016-2017: 14.0"

I was not expecting this. I’m use to these transition events underperforming and changing over way quicker. This just feels really old school. This transition event will probably rival the final event on 12/29/1996 up here in the northern half of Whatcom County. Still in the low 20s throughout the county. Mid-upper 20’s south county without the outflow winds. How much snow has fallen would you say. Quote We come from the land of the ice and snow. TT-SEA
Really strange conditions this morning. The warm air is coming northward but still has not reached my area and its absolutely pouring rain and 33 degrees. It sounds like its warm outside which is what I assumed when I woke up and could hear the rain falling. I can't remember ever seeing it rain this hard at this temperature. The warm air and wind should arrive here in the next couple hours and this is going pretty much exactly like the ECMWF showed... but I thought it looked unusual on the maps and its pretty unusual in reality. Also odd that the precip is sagging south while the warm air is roaring north. 2 Quote **REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**
