Only ended up hitting 42 here just after midnight last night with the warm push, looks like it stopped right around the Columbia River.

Winds are back to offshore now and temp is down to 37, looks like the Gorge is getting hammered today. Approaching 1.5” of rain with this storm here

Summer ☀️ grows while Winter ❄️  goes

Thanks for the update... I am too tired to measure!

Guy plowing our road stopped to talk to me at the end of the driveway and said he feels like this February 2019 repeating... and of course I agreed.    Its not as much snow all at once but it has the same feeling in which copious moisture keeps overriding the entrenched cold air.      I think this might melt faster though.    We did not have much rain or wind for like 6 weeks after that February 2019 event and the snow became as hard as concrete.      I don't think this snow will be able to do the same.

Temps been steadily rising all morning. Up to 39.4. The amazing thing to me is that despite over 2 inches of rain in the past day or so, there's STILL some snow left. Granted, not much, but there's still consistent ice all the way up the ROAD, which has been a river all night. Really incredible.

My Weather Station:  https://ambientweather.net/dashboard/b415ff35b2d13f00c899051028f04466

Located in North Seattle, elevation ~150ft. Highest temperature ever recorded is 110.3, lowest is 14.5.

For the love of God Tim go out in the yard in measure.  Do it for the forum!

The other North Bend member at 1,000 feet lives very close to me... his measurements are going to be the same as mine in this situation.      I also don't have a yardstick.   A regular ruler won't cut it today.  😀

Looks like the south wind is punching through here now... the trees are shaking off snow.    It had been mostly calm all night and this morning in that cold layer from the outflow.

Also to make it worse my Facebook memories! Best winter storm! First week back to work but school cancel classes the whole week.

Now the longest we have ever gone without an Arctic airmass to hit us on record...

Have you had a sub-freezing high there since then? We still somehow haven't.

Yep, those winds just broke my sub-freezing streak. 10 days below freezing. Currently 32.3°F. Probably best for the trees to shake off some weight.

Our laurels are destroyed.   They are bent to the ground.   My wife has been telling me to shave them way down for about a year and now it will be much easier!

Guess I’m not doing too badly today since looking back at my phone picture archives dating back to 2013 the only notable things on this day was heavy frost accumulation in 2016, no snow in Skykomish I’m 2019, and muddy dogs in 2021.

Anybody else have trouble getting out of bed for work today? Post holiday blues hit hard and I wasn’t even on vacation😂😂

Today is my last day of vacation, been off (except for a couple hours last week) since 12/24. However I’m excited to get back to work since it will involve driving up to Skykomish on Wednesday!

Speaking of slushmageddon, looks like we received 7-8” of wet cement and 40-45mph gusts back home today. On nest cam I can see a large pine limb just missed my car. 😬

Not a single flake here. Too much dry air. Looking onwards to the Friday system.

Nope! Even with that event on February 2019 still manage to have a high of 34.
