They were still working on repairs this summer on the trans Canada highway east of Hope as a result of damage from the 2021 Atmospheric River. So maybe 3-5 years is a possibility. It was pretty crazy how fast they rebuilt highway 5 the Coquihalla though. Large portions of it and many bridges were basically gone. Seemed like they had it done in a few months.

Models are all pretty much garbage right now. Ensembles look okay, but lowland snow chances the next 15 days are basically zero. Hence the lack of chatter and model output on the forum.
