TT-SEA
ECMWF shows rain moving through on Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon... but the temps get into the 60s both days with southerly flow and there is some sunshine as well. No c-zone or temps in the 40s with the trough spinning around offshore. A warmer version of a wet pattern. And Monday looks really nice as everything lifts north a bit. 1 1 1 1 Quote **REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**

TT-SEA
The trees still aren't at full maturity leaf out yet... everything is green and leafed out but its not that completely full look yet. And it doesn't seem like much has changed since last week thanks to very cold trough parked over us for the last several days. This is the slowest progression I have ever seen... even 2011 finished faster. The trees have been in the leaf out process for almost 2 months now and still not done. Strange deal... sufficiently warm during winter to get the trees started in March and then basically winter-like weather since which makes for a snail's pace. In Minnesota they are going from totally bare last week to fully leafed out this week... takes a few days to do what has taken 2 months here. I think its pretty likely that the trees will hold their leaves much longer this coming fall and the fall color should be pretty spectacular. That was true in 2008 for sure. On the other end of the spectrum... 2016 was the earliest leaf out I have seen here and the trees were yellowing and losing leaves in August despite it being a fairly wet summer (over 8 inches of rain in JJA in the Snoqualmie Valley that summer). 2 1 2 Quote **REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**

There were periods during the pandemic I was doing it 100% of the time. One of my goals when I got this job 8 years ago was to work one day a week from home. I have small children so that does make it tough too, it's tough when my wife is home because it's hard to see her dealing with the kids and not help, if I stop work to help then I'm not productive, if I don't stop working then I feel I'm letting my family down. On the other hand my wife's maternity leave ends at the end of May, so I will be working from home again twice a week starting in June. 1 Quote Snowfall Precip 2022-23: 95.0" 2022-23: 17.39" 2021-22: 52.6" 2021-22: 91.46" 2020-21: 12.0" 2020-21: 71.59" 2019-20: 23.5" 2019-20: 58.54" 2018-19: 63.5" 2018-19: 66.33" 2017-18: 30.3" 2017-18: 59.83" 2016-17: 49.2" 2016-17: 97.58" 2015-16: 11.75" 2015-16: 68.67" 2014-15: 3.5" 2013-14: 11.75" 2013-14: 62.30 2012-13: 16.75" 2012-13: 78.45 2011-12: 98.5" 2011-12: 92.67" It's always sunny at Winters Hill! SilverFallsAndrew
Preliminary #'s from Silver Falls show it being the 5th coldest April in the POR. 2011, 2008, 1975, and 1955 were all colder. Looks like it was the 3rd April on record to have an average max temp below 50. Looks like our average high here at home was exactly the same as at the park, 49.8. 2 1 Quote Snowfall Precip 2022-23: 95.0" 2022-23: 17.39" 2021-22: 52.6" 2021-22: 91.46" 2020-21: 12.0" 2020-21: 71.59" 2019-20: 23.5" 2019-20: 58.54" 2018-19: 63.5" 2018-19: 66.33" 2017-18: 30.3" 2017-18: 59.83" 2016-17: 49.2" 2016-17: 97.58" 2015-16: 11.75" 2015-16: 68.67" 2014-15: 3.5" 2013-14: 11.75" 2013-14: 62.30 2012-13: 16.75" 2012-13: 78.45 2011-12: 98.5" 2011-12: 92.67" It's always sunny at Winters Hill! Yep, 1954-55 wasn't a blockbuster by any stretch but it did manage a number of decent small events in the area. And the next couple years were all-timers. All three of those were preceded by very very cold winters. The first two also preceded very very cold winters.

Arguably this one has already been better... 10" of snow this past December is better than anything that happened here in either of those stretches, plus we had the really cold Feb airmass too this time around. 3 Quote Springfield, Oregon regular season 2023-24 Stats: Coldest high: 25F (Jan 14, 2024) Coldest low: 20F (Jan 14, 2024) Days with below freezing temps: 24 (Most recent: Mar 8, 2024) Days with sub-40F highs: 4 (Most recent: Jan 16, 2024) Total snowfall: 0.0" Total ice: 2.25” Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 (1.9") Last sub-freezing high: Jan 15, 2024 (27F) Last White Christmas: 1990 Significant wind events (gusts 45+): 0 Personal Stats: Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 Last sub-freezing high: Jan 16, 2024 (32F) Last White Christmas: 2008 Total snowfall since joining TheWeatherForums: 42.0" Sub-freezing highs since joining TheWeatherForums: 4 Venmo GoFundMe "College Basketball vs Epilepsy": gf.me/u/zk3pj2 My Twitter @CBBjerseys4hope

TacomaWaWx
Euro shows another inch of rain over the next week…with close to an inch in the 7-10 day range. The patterns a bit warmer than what we’ve seen recently but the overall wet theme continues.
