snow_wizard
I think the point needs to be made again about how important the dry season is in this climate. We have a limited window to get nice weather here. Our normal period of rain and gloom is long enough, but when it cuts into the supposed dry season it really gets hard to take. I have to say I'm quite intrigued how other parts of the world are getting massive heat in June like we had last year. The atmosphere is very perturbed. Much more 1930s like. 4 2 Quote Death To Warm Anomalies! Anti Marine Layer
One thing I noticed when I was in Oregon is that if the beach is not cold and foggy in the summer, it's usually sunny with very a strong cold wind. If you go ankle deep in the water though it feels icy at first but you eventually begin to adjust to it and all of a sudden the air temperature begins to feel a whole lot warmer. No way I could swim there like I do in California though, where the marine layer can even have a tropical feeling sometimes late in the summer. 1
