If the only models that showed prolonged cold were GFS and GEM I would be more worried. ECMWF, ICON, UKMET, NAM LGTM for a cold spell lasting longer than what I expected yesterday.

Euro has led the way so far for Sunday and for it staying cold, no reason to abandon it now. Most accurate model.

Pretty much every model beside the GEM stayed the same or was better

While not perfect the EURO has been the most consistent by far. Everything else is all over the place. We also have EPS support. There is nothing to worry about for now.

The 0z NAM is pretty similar to the GFS, the ICON is more of an outlier for the timing and placement of the northern low. The 18z ECMWF was right between the two, probably will see the same on the 0z run.

NAM and GFS are very similar, I don't like how much they weaken the system.

Who is the King now? I can't keep track. Are we still on Team King Euro? or King Hasselhoff, even he's drunk a lot? Dare I say King NAM? As much as I hate the thought we are going to torch the last week of the month. It’s probably the best thing that can happen in terms of legit cold and snow chances down the road. Just blow it up with a jet extension and reboot this mo fo.
