I follow the rgem a lot.  It does like to be a little gung-ho on cyclogenesis. Could be the case here.  It can be pretty good but I don’t trust in much beyond 48hrs

Looks like a southward shift on the ICON. Just a bit farther south and that would nail Portland

Finished wrapping up gifts. Beer crafting kit for the dad, cricut machine for mom, and Elden Ring for the little sister so I can watch her go through the same pain as I’ve had. All the time for model riding now the rest of the night.

The trend towards alignment across models today is impressive after what we've been through. This 00z ICON trend also follows today's plot of extending the cold spell. I still believe nothing past Tuesday AM though.

3) Trying to finish Elden Ring

Pretty disappointed with the NAM that was showing that area of lovey convergence around my area that is not really panning out so far. 
Still 34.2

I wouldn’t be surprised if precip totals trend upwards and it ends up better than expected tomorrow night.

I found the cloak of invisibility helped a ton. Can’t help with Elden Ring.

So far on the 00z GFS the southern low looks stronger and there is less development of the northern energy. I would expect this run to be another step towards the Euro/GEM and for the Tuesday system to come in a bit further south.
