December Weather In the PNW

Phil you have done a great job! Thank you!! Even if it does not verify there are so many things you got right even if it meant diddly for our backyards... Thank you for your expertise and analysis!!

He has been quite accurate and quite amazing that he can see things possibly happening so far down the road. It’s the D**n WHAM screwing things up.

Could be just a lot of false starts like Matt had mentioned...one of these times the offense will get its together and end up with a 90yrd arctic touchdown!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Trying to ignore the fact it's going to rain on Christmas?

Sort of sucks... we are probably skiing that day anyways and it will definitely be snow at the pass.

I get that. Just pointing out that calling that January 1950 is pretty misleading. That month wasn't really famed for cold onshore flow.

That 500mb map looked like some of the patterns that I saw from the craziest snow events in Seattle history.

Cold onshore flow... that is one way to achieve a massive snow event.

That pattern would bury you. Sort of looks like Feb 1999 (Nina analog!). Onshore flow, but cold enough to bring sea level snow on South winds to Portland. The UBC campus up in Vancouver got something like 2 feet from that pattern in 1999. I remember it because it was a monthly record for them.

As long as it's more reliable than the Seahawks offense.
