TT-SEA
It was a spectacular sunset all the way down in Fresno last night as well. Yeah... there was narrow band of clouds on the east side of the trough offshore that stretched half-way down the West Coast. It was perfectly placed in the evening from Bellingham to central CA to make for a great sunset. TT-SEA
Gorgeous morning... sunny and warm. My sons and their friends hiked to the top of Rattlesnake Ledge to watch the sunrise. I heard them leaving at 4:30 a.m. and they were back already by 7. They were looking at the WRF and ECMWF last night with me before deciding. It worked out well... the band of clouds from last night was exiting off to the east so it made for a nice sunrise as well. Farmboy
I drove to PDX yesterday and stayed at Barton park near Estacada, I have to say there is a stark difference in the state of the vegetation here in Oregon than in Washington. Everything seems crispy dry here. Walked down to the Clackamas river from my campsite and everything seemed pretty tinder dry. I saw 7 very large buzzards up in a big tree.
