snow_wizard
Once it starts the transition down south it will push through north fast. No...the east wind wall will stop it. jcmcgaffey
Most models show it transitioning quickly from OLM to around SEA. But much slower north of there. And that's assuming they have a good handle.Ya I am right on the line in north seattle and was hoping it would slow down south of me but I have a feeling it is going to push through north past my area. BLI snowman
I really hope this WSW verifies for rate driven event in PDX tonight(and rest of Willamette valley later). Everybody would have something out of this epic blast, even if only for a few hours. It won't. There's basically no chance for sticking snow in the metro until late Tuesday evening, and models are pretty anemic with reigniting the precip band this far north aside from the NAM. Our NWS is just feeling a little down about being so left out of the snow party.

Yes, literally every model showed that early on, although some were definitely too quick to scour out the CLS to OLM corridor today. The issue is after 4pm or so, when the low makes its northern move. I would guess it's now just off Westport, given the sharp temp gradient around Grays Harbor.
