SilverFallsAndrew
NWS going for a low of 20 at Eugene tomorrow night. So I was thinking. If Salem ends up in 4th place for coldest October behind 1893, 1919, and 1949, well.... There is some decent cherry picking material there. Looking those years. October 1919 was pretty insane. 16 sub freezing lows at SLE. Average low of 32.9. It was about 2.5F colder than 1893 which is the 2nd coldest October. 1893 was pretty wet. Almost 8" of rain at SLE. 1919 was very dry. 1949 was a little drier than average. Very similar to this October except it ended on a warm note. Rubus Leucodermis
My projects require a minimum of 3 additional trips to the local hardware store. After my first trip, the clerks know me well enough to ask, "see you later today?" "Yep." I have a numeric rating system for how difficult a home-improvement project is. It is merely a count of the number of trips to the hardware store it involves. If a project is a 2, I am very happy. It is almost never a 1. 1 Quote It's called clown range for a reason.
