Fairly sharp pressure rises at Yakima now too.

Very calm over here and 46 degrees. Give it about 3 hours and that should change for a lot of us.

Yes sir. Looking at the pics it's hard to believe it happened. The coolest thing was the thunder snow and to see 4 inches fall in about an hr!

Sunny, with a high near 46. Wind chill values between 11 and 21 early. Windy, with an east southeast wind 23 to 33 mph becoming west northwest 6 to 11 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 49 mph.

d**n that's impressive.  Looking at the Mesonet over Eastern WA it shows how incredibly sharp the cold front is.  My call for Portland tomorrow may not be so outlandish after all.  I just have a feeling that area is going to overperform.  Nice to see the 18z had a decided drop on the ensemble mean and operational for this.  That run had Seattle bottoming out at around -5.  Given the last minute trend I could see -6 happening.  Very respectable.

I like how it shows the winds dying out tomorrow.  If it decouples tomorrow night we could see some crazy numbers.

ECMWF showed the focus of the wind tonight in SE King County... then the wind slackens off tomorrow but it still shows some wind tomorrow night (around 10 mph across most of King County).

SEA had a low of 34 this morning.  That is pretty decent for them.  That is the second time they've dropped below 35 month.  I'll bet it's been years since they dropped below 35 during two seperate cold snaps in October.

After today, PDX is within .09 degrees of a top 5 cold October (tying 1971’s 52.4). And the next three days are looking like the coldest yet.

You can see that the front has just hit Pendleton on the 5 minute observations. Breezy NNE winds have shown up.

Impressive to see the temperatures actually drop when the wind hits. This airmass has some bite. I’m expecting temps to actually rise a bit at some point overnight tonight in the Portland area, with better mixing working in.
