Andie
The DFW area has been sitting at 31* for several hours, but as the clouds lift we'll hit 24 by morning. Winds are lighter at 10 - 15 mph. We'll see the low 40's tomorrow. Quite an early cold front. westMJim
Good morning! Here at my house I recorded 1.2” of new snow fall overnight. There is still 5.0” on the ground here. The overnight low here and at the airport was 17 during some short clearing. At this time the temperature here is 18 with light snow falling. Yesterday the H/L at GRR was 32/22 and there was 5.5” of snow fall. That brings the November snow fall at Grand Rapids to 6.2” and it is now at 6.5” for the season. At this time the mean temperature for November is now at 35.1 and that is a departure of -8.8. For today the average H/L is 49/34 the record high is 68 set in 1902 and the record low is 15 set in 1986. The coldest maximum is 27 set in 1920.

Niko
Its mostly cloudy and frigid w temps at 16F. Lots of snow outside. Lows tanite will be record breaking w readings dropping 0-5F or even perhaps subzero. Absolutely bitterly cold. Looks and feels like mid-Winter, not early November. Note: the warm-up that has been advertised is slowly being replaced by colder temps. I see more snow chances down the road in my forecast and for many on here as well. Also, MORE SNOW (LES) fell last night which added to my totals. I will have to go and measure again. Took son to school and with the car exhaust and sewer drains emitting that "smoke" he said "Dad- this is like Janurary"--On the way to the gym this morning, I had flashbacks of the Polar Vortex intrusion last January. Not being acclimated to this type of cold so early in the season had that similar “feel” I had last January. Brrrrr. Also, the notable Low Sun angle gave that “look” of a frigid sunrise with a snow cover like in January. This is a morning I won’t forget for a long time and I’m sure you and your son will do the same. Edit: Oh ya, forgot to mention the mountainous clouds that I saw over Lake Michigan on my drive back home this morning heading east.
