Brian_in_Leavenworth
Hey Randy (Mossman), 3.5 inches of overnight snow in Leavenworth, maybe another 6+ this afternoon/evening. But of course rain for tomorrow, hopefully it will be on the light side, and if we get enough snow, it won't all mellt. But be careful on the pass though, it will probably be horrible and would not be surprised if it temporarily closes for avalanche control. Keep up to date with the WSDOT app.

Frontal Snowsquall
Someone here posted earlier about salmon dying in the Wilson and Trask Rivers. The salmon were dying of a parasite while waiting for the rivers to rise. The local theory is that the parasite was from cow manure, which wasn't being flushed out. The expected coastal flooding will further hurt the run, as many of the salmon eggs will be buried under silt.Oh wow, I didn't know that. So some rain would be good but not too much? That was our last significant rain event and Scappoose picked up 1.73" while PDX had 0.73" that day. Not their year for baroclinic bands.
