There was definitely Arctic outflow through the Gorge for the Portland area, but I was talking about regional events.I was off a year. Wasn't '12.  My coldest temps. were in Dec '13. '17 definitely had Gorge outflow. I don't remember any in Dec '13. Had it stuck in my head it was '12. I don't remember if Dec '13 was a regional event or just localized but it's the coldest I've had in some time. More snow in '17 but not nearly as cold. The creek froze over enough to hold my 150lb newfie. Two mornings of 8f and a couple days in the low 20's for highs. It stayed cold for over a week in '13. Can't remember how the rest of the metro did. I'm about 15 miles ESE of the metro by way the crow flies. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
