Our road went from bare and wet at 11 AM to compact snow and ice now.

Absolutely nothing going on in West Seattle even under the heaviest radar bands thanks to the East wind. Hopefully we can evap cool enough to saturation to give us something before the switch over.

In Tukwila it is nearly dead calm, and no snow to be seen. Currently 39/40 degrees.

Radar shows things easing up soon, hope this isn't it, even though it likely is, but this is awesome nonetheless!!

Ran home from work and it was light snow and calm and now its snowing moderate to hard and the wind is blowing 20. 29 degrees

Where would you go in the Chuckanuts? Like Samish side or Chuckanut drive side?

 

Most likely Lake Samish area. WSDOT has a highway cam in that area and it always seems to be one of the first lowland locations to score. At this stage, it’s just a thought, nothing more. I just moved last year and really am not itching to do it again right away.

This entire event has sucked for Olympia.  Got maybe an inch of snow Monday and it rapidly switched to rain here today already.  Usually, we do ok in these things.  Not this one....

I feel your frustration. Pretty much a non-event for a good portion of south sounders down to Portland. A week ago there was so much promise in model run, after model run, and we basically end up with scraps.

My grandparents live up that way and they definitely score pretty regularly. Probably average a little more than 12" a year at about 300 ft, although there are certainly years they get nothing like the rest of us.

Its kind of a ridiculous article. Basically a blanket forecast for the west coast.. East winds are going to destroy dreams in the central/south sound.

The radar is all blue but nothing falling. I hope the same thing happens when the radar is green. Not interested in anymore rain.

As Phil said earlier, a strong PV tends to do that. Keeps the Arctic air bottled up in, well, the Arctic.
