Winterdog
Still dark and spitting here.I was being very optimistic in my description. Some think it's unwarranted negativity if you point out that it's dark and damp. It's actually drizzling here and quite dark. Not as cool as yesterday though. Tomorrow's sunshine chances not looking too great but hoping for some Sunday.

TT-SEA
12Z ECMWF shows highs in the mid to upper 50s next weekend with copious rain. Exactly normal for mid July. TT-SEA
Pendulum swinging back after 2013-18.Indeed. I did not much care for the smoky summers of 2015, 2017, and 2018 either. Too extreme the other way. Phil
Indeed. I did not much care for the smoky summers of 2015, 2017, and 2018 either. Too extreme the other way. This summer just happens to feature subsidence right over the West-Pacific warm pool as a low pass feature. Pretty much the perfect regime for western troughing during the warm season, all else being equal. 2013-18 (minus 2016) was essentially the inverse. Lots of convection/upper level divergence over the WPAC. So pretty much everything about that stretch is reversing right now. 2 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=

jakeinthevalley
When I went to buy my fireworks the other day they were sold out of the ones I wanted so I had to go to another stand. Turns out firework sales are through the roof right now and the best they have ever been in history due to the Coronavirus. All the public firework shows are cancelled so people are buying extra fireworks this year. I'm expecting tomorrow night to be wild and the loudest it's ever been in my neighborhood for an Independence Day.I just bought my Arsenal outside of Cheyenne, WY.
