NWbyNW
The next few days should be smoke free for Western Washington. The biggest smoke producer in the northwest right now is the Flat Fire in the Rogue River Valley of Oregon. It is the sole fire producing smoke that is covering southern and central Oregon and flowing up towards Eastern Washington. Yes there are other fires, but they are not producing much smoke according to models. Still, but of that smoke will be at higher atmosphere elevations unless you are in Grants Pass who has had three years of terrible smoke now. Smoke conditions should not effect much of Western Oregon and the smoke does dissipate moving into early next week. The massive smoke-fest that is British Columbia is currently blowing smoke east and northeast. So we should be good for the short term. Cooler weather next week will hopefully help firefighters. The wildfire season in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho has been very very tame. Much like last year, it has been very quiet.
