Cliff mentions strong easterly winds Thursday/Friday, which shouldn't bring much smoke over our area because, "The winds will be more southeasterly with far less feed from BC, where the big fires are."

I wasn’t expecting this summer to carry on so long after such an early start.  Kind of thought things would have crashed in august.

This area has fires almost every year over the past few years. They had a large one in this general area last September.

The liberty Road Fire is near the highest point in the S Salem hills which is about 1130’. Some one fact check me on that…

I just got a red flag warning for extreme fire danger for Thursday and Friday for Washington and Oregon foothills. It said there was going to be low humidity and winds of 20-30 mph. Anyone know anything about that?
