So if you could have 5” of snow and all time record lows or 2’ of snow and highs in the mid 30s lows in the 20s, what would you pick? For me it’s easy cold over snow.

Feeling a bit more convinced that the ridge isn't going to pack up and fly off north like it did on the 00z GEM. The critical events needed to get this into motion are well within 7 days now and the Euro is looking pretty steady. Nice to see. 

Hopefully the GFS is done waffling around but that is probably wishful thinking.

This is weather.com lol but they are showing hella snow within 2 days IMBY next week. Normally it only shows 1-3” in one of those slots but it’s showing 5-8” in one of them. They are always conservative with snow totals here I feel like so this makes me think something may be brewing.

I think temps in the 20s with a moderate amount of snow is perfect.   No melting but also no pipes bursting or roofs collapsing.   All the good with none of the bad.

Feels almost fortunate it's 10 days out on that last frame because that setup and position hard to see how we'd get out of that down here without an enormous snow/ice/rain catastrophe

The cold is way too entrenched for ice at that point.  Way too deep.
