That low is non-existent at the end of the 18z euro.  It is still in the 970’s on the gfs at that time

Honestly didn’t think this one was strong enough for lightning

Interesting to note the 18z ICON trended towards the ECMWF solution over the NPAC, and the 18z ECMWF also held serve.

That shortwave either rides over the block (bad) or splits/digs while the block amplifies (good).

I think so. They put a survey to decide whether to stop. Maybe they just stopped nowcasts.

Euro is good in that scenario?

Yeah it usually is.

Meanwhile the 18z GFS/GEFS still trying to keep that feature progressive and went all in 18z. Either the GFS scores a coup or busts massively.

Having a good shower coming through but didn't look outside until the shower went bye. Looks like we had a rain and snow mix. Temperature is 37 degrees now. There's another heavy shower coming my way, I'm going to see if it snows this time when it hits me.

Just the flash. Seeing the actual bolt in western WA or west Oregon is so rare

Seemed like they stopped when new out of state Mets came into the NWS Seattle building a few years ago.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Well lucky you. Maybe apartments have s worse view, or your place is open. I guess you are also closer to the coast

I'm just talking over the last 20 years I have seen a bunch. A few years ago there was a crazy lightning event around Seattle and from Silverdale looking east and it was a crazy show to see.

I see the issue here. I am 23. During the most recent severe weather out break in the pnw, 2016, I was in class.

18z EPS looks good.  Maybe a bit better than the 12z.
