00z output shows .97” precipitation for PDX. 4.5” snow and 0.3” freezing rain. Probably thinking a lot of sleet in there. If it’s overdoing the sleet then we should get higher snow amounts. It’s still not backing down with strong gusts over 50 mph.

I have made my peace with no snow so I'm feeling a bit more generous than usual.  I know the horrible feeling to have something like that ripped away at the last minute.

That having been said I'm no longer certain it won't make it this far north.

Should atleast get some flakeage. Something @Meatyorologist mentioned earlier is clouds moving in tomorrow afternoon might help keep the max temps pretty chilly tomorrow. Could be a pretty nuts temp spread with tonight’s overnight clearing.

The thing that does bother me is we may never get a chance again to see it snow here in these temps. Low to mid 20's is easy. Mid teens almost impossible west of cascades during heavy snowfall.

@Perturbed Member and @Doinko. Seems like this shifted about 25 miles north down the stretch. That’s why I was worried when we were in the bullseye a day or 2 ago. Seems like it’s always a good bet that these types of systems trend a bit north after they lock in. If we can somehow stay all snow this’ll be a 10 inch storm.

Think we'll still be ok, especially if 00z GFS and Euro look steady. We are living dangerously on the edge though.

Assuming Sea-Tac got down to 15 as shown at the 6 PM hourly obs, that's the coldest since 2010.

They haven't been below 14 since 1990 (!!!!). With clear skies and fairly calm winds it could happen tonight. Single digits would be a slam dunk if there was snow on the ground...sigh.

I guess that is why my temp tanked.

At this point all snow will be south of Seattle for sure

Anything light that falls up in the sound, even just flakes, will stick around as the ground is rock frozen by now. Hope to get at least another whiting of the bushes and roofs here in Bellevue like we did thurs

Winds seem stringently out of the east. Though the heart of the airmass rolls through tonight and we might be able to just mountain wave it to the single digits. Pretty remarkable.

Troutdale is now down to 21. The warming at PDX is pretty strange. Maybe a hot emergency exit door landed next to the sensor?

Down to 25 here, should mean sub-25 high tomorrow

Completely doable if you are near a mountain gap. Have seen it in Portland with Gorge outflow and in Bellingham with Fraser outflow.

We have been to Snoqualmie and North Bend for errands and dinner this evening and surprisingly the snow cover is almost uniform across the area and not dependent on elevation... guessing about 1.5 inches.    Its just enough to cover the grass and enough is on the trees to add to the beauty.   My son stopped at home to grab his skis earlier this afternoon and went up to Snoqualmie Summit and he said it was surreal cold in Seattle compared to what he is used to there.

Another pic from just before sunset...

It literally has none of the June 2021 data, at all, it still shows KQHM all time high being 96.  I think it has their all time record low of 9 correct, which could be challenged tonight I suppose.
