Really will be interesting here tomorrow,  850mb stays below or at zero for a good 6 hrs with precip and 925 is close enough depending what model. The precip rates and offshore flow will be key. Last year it snowed here with plus 2c 925 and plus 1 850 with strong offshore flow. Maybe model was wrong or the evaporative cooling did it.

Looks like the 925s suck on the ECMWF.  It does have a warm bias in these things sometimes though.

Eh, this far south it is what it is. We will do well for radiational cooling during other stretches. Grateful to have at least enjoyed the feeling of the Arctic air even if it was just at the surface.

Well it was still 20 at Pendleton when the post was made so it wasn’t even accurate… Go figure.

29F here and precip seems to be moving north a little faster than modelled.  I’m under a warning for 4-8” of snow with possible freezing rain tonight.

Ya precip moved in before the offshore started cranking.  Some meso models show sticking snow starting later today as the column cools. I doubt it.

East winds have really picked up since I woke up. Temperature was 34.4° when I woke up but has been falling since the East winds picked up. I'm glad I didn't try to get to work because I wouldn't be able to get back home because everything would be all iced over. I did try to walk to the main street but couldn't get there because it's to D**n slick. As you can see from these pictures, it's completely iced over 😳🥺🥶

Sat at about 36 degrees all night. The ale melt continued and things look a lot clearer out there this morning. Just some slush left that should finally melt away throughout today. They cancelled school for today already though which is surprising. 7 day weekend for me!

Started up as all snow here in South Everett and 32 degrees. Road turned white immediately because it froze last night.

This really might be good north of Everett.  Just a wet mix here with a slush accumulation.  I have no idea how this will play out today here, I have seen this same thing and after a few hrs of offshore flow it turns to all snow.  It is really close here.

Would be some pretty good snow right now if it was a little colder. Another cherry on top of this bummer of a cold period. 34 with fairly moderate rain.

I have a feeling you will get some snow today

Looking at the radar I should have that answer very shortly now, looks like the precip is marching north quickly!

I won't be going to work today. It only got to 34.4° but temperature went down to 34.2°. The NWS has issued another Winter Weather Advisory for my area. 🥶🌨❄️

Just ugh. We are heading back toward our house in SW today from Forest Grove area - still no power but going to stay with fam nearby that finally does. How likely do you think ZR is to verify in my neck of the woods? East winds look to return but much weaker over there. Aiming to get where we’re going before 10am.

Stanwood SD just went from 2hrs late to closed…guess they don’t want to chance what precip type it will be this morning.
