Looking for folks who would be interested in playing host to some sensors, radios, and small computers. I would be collecting atmospheric conditions, gases, radiation, and emergency pages sent out to first responders.
This would be a part of what might be an open mesonet network of stations that provide more data than your typical weather station. As host to the station you would have access to the data coming from it as well as the data collected from other stations.

Just drove back to Corvallis from Tigard. The N/S gradient today is impressive. Raining down to about the Santiam river, dry overcast in Albany/Corvallis, and full sunshine from Eugene southward. Could see blue sky from the freeway looking south.
This time of year you really can drive a couple hours on I-5 and be in a different world sometimes.

A broken line of storms with supercells within continues to get
better organized over southwest IA near the surface low, with a
possible meso low developing near Red Oak IA as of 1930Z. Low-level
shear is very favorable for intense tornadic supercells, with 0-500m
SRH over 200 m2/s2 noted on the DMX radar. Pressure falls continue
into this region, along with clearing and further destabilization.
As such, tornadoes appear imminent across much of IA over the next
few hours.
