Cold air is delayed/not as far south here compared to 12z. The friday low is coming in further north.

What is going on with the 00Z ECMWF?  

That pattern looks crazy different and WB maps are stuck on hour 11.    What does precip look like?

Yeah, usually that track would deliver plenty of snow for PDX but the cold air is not in place before this.

Yea I’d be happy for the snow but this would really suck for the southern posters if it verifies...very February 2019 looking. Of course this might not even be a feature next run and could be farther south we will see.

Massive snowstorm from PDX to SEA Thursday with very little snow South of Portland. Euro shows a wide swath of 6-10" between Kelso and Olympia.

Euro is a little too close for comfort at this range. A lot of this is going to come down to the timing of the shortwave to the north as to how far the low will be able to get.

I'm really hoping the EPS doesn't cut the trough off to the north and shoves the PV lobe over eastern Washington or northern Idaho.

Looks like further south in the willamette valley does score at hour 144

Willamette Valley gets in on the action Friday. Euro doesn't show any snow that far South before then.

More of Oregon will be able to cash in as another low approaches this time with more cold air at 150hr.

SW Washington might be at 3’ of snow during this run.

Would be crazy here if this run verifies...doesn’t even hit 30 degrees for 3 consecutive days with a decent snowfall to boot and more cold air coming in...

That low will have room to track north as the flow is basically southwest to northeast however cold air is in place thanks to the TPV.

As long as I get a few inches here, especially with a vigorous/exciting arctic front, I'll be good here, especially if we get some subfreezing highs following it. February 2019 screwed NW Oregon, I do not mind if we get (partly!) shafted here, so long as we see something notable.
