Skykomish is at 17 feet now. Moderate flooding taking place. Wound up with 5" so far. Shouldn't get much higher than what it's at now at least.

Ended yesterday with 1.60". Pretty healthy rainfall, but it would have needed a couple more tenths of an inch to crack my top 10 wettest days. Looking forward to a beautiful weekend.

One more year around the sun for this guy today. The night shift is always one of my favorite parts of the year. I love you all and I highly recommend putting this on while driving. It'll give you a vibe of neon lights and leaving worries behind.

SEA barely missed out on 2" of rain for Thursday. Ended up at 1.99",  at the 11pm hour, it was sitting at 1.76" and really made a push for it, but came up short. Still smashed the daily record from 1982 of 1.53"

SEA is at 2.53 inches for this event and 5.64 inches on the month.

Radar still shows the main band parked over the Seattle area and out here... but with a north wind and temps down into the 40s now the rain is much lighter than it was yesterday with temps in the low 60s despite the radar looking about the same.     Main band is making steady progress to the SE now.

The station in North Bend ended up with 3.20 inches yesterday and another .40 today... so I assume we are above 4 inches for the event up here.     The North Bend station has recorded 7 inches of rain just since 10/20.    Its been seriously wet out here.

I can hear the water roaring down the ridge here from inside the house.  

But I don't think the flooding is too bad down in the valley because I don't see any announcements about school closures... at least not yet.

Being right next to the mountains... the river rises fast and drops fast out here during these events.   You can already see the drop starting on the blue line even though its still raining.

Tim can be so dramatic. Tim-like conditions outside here. Temp down to 47 with 0.96” in the bucket since midnight. Going to end the month with 3-4X as much rain as Salem, which is unusual, but it happens.

PDX is only at .42 for this event and not going to get much more.    In Portland... there has now been a huge rain event to the south and now to the north in the last week.     The next AR event needs to be squarely focused on Oregon!

I am not being dramatic... this was not that big of a deal.   We have seen much worse out here.   My posts were just reporting the stats.    And I generally like big rain events unless there is bad flooding... and we have avoided that this time.    All good here.

Portland did very well this month compared to Salem and Eugene. This AR was pretty run or the mill, nothing compared to what California saw.

PDX is -3.75'' and Eugene is -7.82''. Olympia is +3.38''.

For 2020... Seattle +1.98'', Olympia +2.49'', PDX -4.47'', Eugene -7.53''.

Anyone want to argue against the gradient?
