Pretty strong cool/cold signal on the extended GFS ensembles through mid-March.

-11.8 for SEA.  Trending colder in the home stretch.  From what I can tell 2018 bottomed out at -12 or so, but the details were less favorable for cold mins on that one than they will be this time.  This is going to be a legit cold shot to say the least.

Yeah, this one might have colder lows, but that one brought a ton of snow here... This one may put up a goose egg. 1-2" at most.

Better than nothing I guess. Atleast (I assume) you were in town for it. I came home on January 2nd right when it all started melting. Some wet snow fell on a couple days right after I got home but I missed all the excitement unfortunately.

Still dumping snow here. Arctic front pushed through a couple of hours ago. Temp down to 14F. Found a new webcam for in town that shows ground level conditions really clearly for those following. Night all!

Been a while since we saw a true dry blast. Unfortunately this just adds onto the theme of continued dryness after an incredibly wet fall and beginning of winter. I hate this bipolar weather, I wish we could just count on rain all winter like usual.

HRRR showing a reverse convergence zone on the Pacific side of the Olympics as outflow gushes out of the passes Tuesday. Also, if that frontal banded cumulus depicted over the Central Sound comes true, there could be some very pretty cloudscapes during the day. Charging my Nikon in case

You know... last week I was talking to some college friends from the San Diego area and they were quite surprised by the dryness the last month and a half - one of them told me they wished it rained more.

Was shocked by the lack of snow around Mount Shasta last week. Looked like June down there.
