Tom
A ton of convection showing up in N/C IA right now! Thundersnow baby! It's awesome to hear that a lot of you guys experience thundersnow. This storm is phenomenal. Txtbook comma head signature...looks like track has ticked a bit N/NW than earlier guidance last night. It's typical to see this with systems as such as they begin to occlude.

CentralNebWeather
People trying to drive and are now stuck in deep snowdrifts north of my house. Losing proposition trying to get out. NEJeremy
hate to say it, but the GFS nailed this storm too with the farther north track. I measured about 4-4.5" at my house and now the dreaded dryslot is nearly here. According the HRRR, which has been pretty accurate, it shows we get maybe another 1-1.5". it shows the low just sitting and spinning and when it finally starts to kick east, it's weakening and the deformation band on the backside is dissipating. in the end this isn't going to be an epic storm here, just another 6" winter storm. sorry to complain for those that aren't getting anything, but it's a big letdown from where we were predicted for most of the last week. Oh and I stayed up too late last night, so I slept through the thundersnow this morning!!
