Also cowboys won! KC just can't compete with the offence Dallas has with Dak Dez and Zeke! We whipped the Redskins last week 33-19. So it sucks too see the Seahawks lose! I wanted them to win over the Redskins to help the Cowboys !! Oh well! Seahawks will be fine but that offence is just weird in Seattle.

Edit to that previous post, it's Sinabung that's erupting, not Agung. Typo from MAGMA Indonesia. Still just a steam cloud from Agung.

I doubt it would have made that much of a difference.

Considering we picked up almost an inch of liquid precip with a temperature below about 36 degrees, I'd say a few degrees would have made a pretty big difference.

My only complaint about this cold snap is our inability to clear out for really cold min temps. I'm still hoping it will tonight, but I'm far from convinced it will. That having been said the cold max temps and the snow have been quite impressive.

Eh, it's November 5th so I can't really complain. Saw some snowflakes and a inch of snow Friday morning. That's pretty decent this early in the year.

All of a sudden, both the GFS and ECMWF depict a monstrous anticyclonic breaker into the NAM domain during week 2. Will be interesting to follow, given this would be somewhat ahead of schedule, verbatim.

SEA was at 36 or 37 all night.

33 here this morning... still has not gone below freezing here this year.   Trees are still perfectly caked in snow though and there is about 2 inches of snow on the ground.

Touched 32 at 9pm. But since it popped up to 34-35 and stayed there all night.

Some pics that I just took early this morning... so strange to have snow with leaves on the trees.   Still at 33 degrees where it stayed all night.   I keep thinking that this might be a bad sign for the heart of the winter.

I don't think it means much for the heart of winter. It was a pretty pedestrian trough, just tapped into some good low level cold. If anything that is a good sign.

Didn’t bring snow to Andrew = pedestrian, no matter how historic it was elsewhere.

I think you could say that about all most any trough with that line of thinking. It was some historic low level cold that it tapped into. A ton of temperature records in the BC interior.

I can see the front half of this winter turning into a Nov/Dec 96' type show for those south of Seattle.

The strongest signal I see for North America in the long range (beyond day 8) is very cold air building up in Alaska and the Yukon. The EPS and GEFS both show this from day 8 onward.

I don't have time to do the research right now, but maybe wxstatman or someone else could point to some other years that featured this happening in mid November?
