Well the band that wasn't supposed to "hit" King County according to some (really just one) ended up dropping 2 inches here.

Had about 3 hours of steady, moderate-to-heavy snow. Took a slo-mo video just because. :)

Nice job!

I just drove down to North Bend and there is nothing at all down there... you did well. Snow on the ground out here now above roughly 700 feet.

Looks like some breaks in the clouds over the Strait. Going to be a bit before it clears out.

Would be interesting to know what the conditions in the NPAC were like in the late 1800's.

There is some reconstructed data back to 1872, but it's pretty iffy how accurate it would be.  I'll be looking into it eventually.

Life sucked back than, but ya i'd take the climate

For sure.  Many books I've read set in that time give a real clear picture of what life without modern medicine and dentistry was like.  The lawlessness in some areas was also a huge problem.

I wish we could go back to that time period.

I do too.  Amazingly the winter average snowfall for both the 1880s and 1890s was around 25 inches for the Puget Sound region in general.  Just mind blowing when you compare it to modern times.

Warmer than I thought this evening... very slushy here.

I noticed that SEA has been holding steady at 36 and now has a SE wind.

It's cleared out gorgeously down here after sunset. Moon is out and the temperature is already down to 35.

Looking at that satellite shot it appears that may not last for long, though.

Just received a nice little dusting. Wasn’t really expecting it, nice surprise to end the storm.

What is going on this November?   Pretty crazy if this verifies.  I think ski resorts might get to open early this year.

I used to root for them. They have had some personnel in recent years that has made it easier for me to root against them.

I definitely root against the Seahawks. And I am with you on that. Like Frank Clark, who fell in the draft, you know because he threw his girlfriend down a flight of stairs...Before social justice, and before concussions, people were concerned about domestic violence and NFL players...Seemed like a pretty worthy cause.

I am just annoyed that I have to read about it when I come here for weather. But I don’t care for Seattle anyways. Pdx supporting the hawks only ensures that we won’t get a franchise here someday.

I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Not much different than people posting about their weekend boating in the summer or hiking trips they have planned. I don’t care about that either.

The past 3 days here have been 36/27, 33/25, 38/29. Pretty chilly stretch given how it in the season it is.

Your area really seems to trap the cold air. Today ended up breaking 40F, the first time over 40F since Thursday afternoon (prior to that it hadn't been below 40F since early last April). Looks like we did 38/29F, 38/30F, 41/33F over the past 3 days.

Are you still having to water your lawn though?

I sort of get what you’re saying. But posts like that are generally a stand alone deal that usually include a weather report or picture to go along with them, even if it just involves conditions on said boat or hike.

A little less distracting than a stream of reactions to a game some aren’t even watching.

My only complaint about this cold snap is our inability to clear out for really cold min temps.  I'm still hoping it will tonight, but I'm far from convinced it will.  That having been said the cold max temps and the snow have been quite impressive.

Would have been awesome if temps were  a few degrees colder last night. We might be looking at a foot on the ground today. Next time though right =)
