Maybe I’m weird but I’ve always liked the early sunsets. The long evenings can be cozy. On the flip side I’ve always enjoyed the super late sunsets on the opposite side of the year too. I enjoy dynamism when it comes to daylight length throughout the year. To me it would be strange living at a lower latitude where daylight length and sun angle are more uniform year round. I realize this is just personal preference though.
I have no idea what happens up there in your tiny little area deep in the rain shadow. And never said anything about that area.
But Bellingham has been wetter than normal for the water year and for 2024 so far.
Well Spokane is only about an inch below normal for the water year and the year.
And the ECMWF shows much of that deficit being made up in the next couple of days. Prayers to you on essentially normal precip for the year.
I was east of the Cascades Thursday-yesterday. It didn't rain at all until we had already packed up the campsite around noon yesterday. Got down to 30 Friday morning, but was in the mid-60s by afternoon. Different planet.
@Clintonand for most of the Midwest/Plains crew is going to experience more chances of storms but I think it shifts farther south and east week 2 as the 500mb patter really amplifies.
