El_Nina
I had just a few flurries and even that has stopped. Not even a dusting here. I'm about 6 miles sw by way the crow flies from Estacada. 8 miles se of Happy Valley. Was warmed from my overnight low of 29 to 31 with winds having died down quite a bit from last night. Looks like a band might be moving north towards Sandy so that should catch me. Just don't know if there is enough to amount to much. I never realized how much further south you are than me. I am in the far northwestern corner of Boring just a mile from Multnomah County. I get much more gorge influence so that's where the differences have been coming from. Prairiedog
ECMWF and WRF showed light southerly flow tomorrow in Portland. I saw that but It's cold up and down the valley. Even with a slight south flow, I find it suspect to get that warm locally. I suppose under sunny skies maybe upper 40's but to me seems a pretty big (and if the gorge shuts off completely) stretch. Really protected down in this little valley. One mile up the hill to Springwater (130ft elevation gain) it's another climate zone in these events. Much more wind and about 1 degree colder in marginal events and that makes all the difference many times between snow accum or little or none at all. You're up over 600ft and get a lot more east winds as well. I had good gap winds yesterday but they have died down here considerably this am. Just a few tiny flakes right now.
