Jesse
My wife had her's out in February. She didn't even have to stay the night, which was amazing. The bill was still about $43,000. Thank goodness for decent insurance, but price gouging is real! One of the reasons I support Medicaid for all...Or some sort of single payer system.I was told that it would be mostly covered by insurance.
Jesse
The IOD has surpassed +1 for the first time since 2015. Irrespective of the niño 3.4 number, the IO/Indo-Pacific waters are clearly behaving in more of an El Niño-type manner, and this may be significant as the summer monsoonal trough winds down over the next few months and the coupling conduits/structures begin to change over the tropical EHEM. So...what does this mean?

Kayla
Definitely a bullet dodged with the lack of bursting. That s**t can get very real very quickly. Makes the recovery a lot more extensive too with the continuing risk of sepsis. I think I blacked out my experience. But I know it was 7 days in the hospital and a couple days in the ICU. No fun. Frontal Snowsquall
00Z ECMWF also showed convection and a decent rain event for Portland and SW WA on Thursday... similar to the GFS. It showed a high of 71 in Portland that day while its in the low 80s in Seattle.Cool! Would be around a 25 drop in high temperature down here if that verified. Yeah I think our out of pocket was like 2K, obviously varies based on individual plans. So the hospital is really gouging the insurance companies, which is reflected in premiums paid either by the individual or employer. Abundant dry lightning possible tomorrow, very hot temps (above 100),. gusty winds, low humidity, dry fuels... It may "start" dry according to what Medford has been saying. There are quite impressive PWAT's being shown later as storms continue. Besides I think most of the dry storms concern the lowlands, the east sides usually get good soakings out of August t'storm setups.
