Pretty impressive event overall.  Nice area of snow between Portland and Chehalis and Bellingham sitting at 28 with a dp of 4 and winds gusting to 52!

The more I look at this the more impressed I am.  Just noticed all of the dew points from OLM north are in the upper teens to low 20s.  Nasty air mass for this late in the season.  Can't wait to see what kind of low temps we end up with.

It appears we will not be seeing a normal pattern for the remainder of the month now. The EPS likes the idea of another nice block about 10 days out. Between now and then it all looks pretty continental with lots of cold nights, although days will get a bit warmer.

0F in Great Falls, MT with heavy snow and a windchill of -23F currently. Pretty impressive for mid March.

It looks like the sweet spot for cold air meets moisture is around US 12.  The I-5 webcams look pretty impressive there while 4 miles north there is only a dusting.  Overall a good 50 mile stretch with at least a dusting.

Just imagine if earlier model runs had verified and the cold air didn't get partially hung up.  Would have easily been historic.  As it is...not too shabby.

12Z GFS shows a long stretch of warmer than normal and sunny days from Monday through at least Sunday.

35f at 5am and not a single flake.  Had a little chunky shower falling then ( between Oregon City and Estacada at 315ft) but all has stopped and up to 37 now.  I had more snow in the air yesterday than this am.

A little over 1.5” here. Still coming down good. Temps have been marginal enough that some melting is reducing accumulations from what they could have been considering it’s been snowing hard at times since 3am. But it’s gorgeous out there, I will take it!

One big problem this time of year is insolation when snow falls during the day.  The timing worked out good for you.  Currently I have an easterly breeze and 36 degrees.  Really nice nip for this time of year.

I'm really impressed with the low level CAA.  The mesonet map shows it just pouring in from Canada and spreading south over the entire state.  Upper 20s in Whatcom County with 50mph winds.  Going to be a really chilly day with the wind and very low dps.

Snow on grass this morning but none on roads or vehicles. Now it's just raining in Wilsonville.

Snow flurries have been on and off but random big flakes are falling now. Big waves on the north facing beaches here.
