Yes, this is going to happen. It happens every year, why wouldn't it happen?

Oh NAM. You make me laugh.

 

NAM has Lincoln on the south edge while GFS has us on the north edge XD. We'll see what 00z goofy says. 

Snowfall in Lincoln, NE:

2017-18: 21.4"   

2018-19: 55.5"   

2019-20: 17.6"   

2020-21: 49.4" (so far)

Average: 25.9"

So southern Iowa is going to get two snowstorms in mid April.   :wacko:

The ICON is a hair north again this morning.

 

This time of year I'm in garden-prep mode, so I don't really want more snow, but it would still sting to see locations just south, in Iowa, get 3-4" and then another 6+" in mid April.

It appears the models are all focusing on far southern Iowa.  I'm not expecting much more than a light grass-whitening here, like last night.
