my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.
I'm going to step back for the day too. It's just too much uninformed nonsense.
I am excited for a lot of you guys, because it seems like this is your first time tracking a PNW winter storm. I remember my first time.
Has it been mentioned, Trump's fundraising page crashed at one point it was so overwhelmed by supporters. Mega donors are going all in pledging millions more.
I heard that other story offhand, so most of it is bogus it sounds like. I'm so sorry your friend had to lose such a cool dude... Sounds like he died as he lived, a total badass. Most of us, definitely me, wouldn't have made it anywhere near that far back up, let alone survived the initial fall.
I have an ice axe and crampons and have done a few snow hikes around the area this year. The only thing which concerns me is the altitude. I felt fine going up Asgard Pass in the snow but that's 4,500ft below the summit of Adams.
