my God, this forum has devolved into the worst of the worst. It's always emotional and reactionary in here, but it seems that the rational and seasoned members have pulled back to make way for the kids.

I am excited for a lot of you guys, because it seems like this is your first time tracking a PNW winter storm. I remember my first time.
This system is sort of a two-pronged trough, the southern section taking a nice subtropical piece out of the developing Kona low and sending it here right as the northern Polar lobe dives south and aids in large scale lift. A very fluky, perfect situation that's still subject to fail.
I worry about the marine life. I know it's not exactly supposed to be chilly down there during the summer, but water temperatures pushing 100F has to be horrible for whatever lives there.
Hope I am wrong but it’s hard for me to see how the incoming system is going to drop an inch plus of rain in Seattle. Definitely different than our typical Pineapple Express setup.
At least 2 tornadoes last night on the west side of the KC metro. They will be evaluating damage on the Missouri side tomorrow. They formed on a squall line, we've had that happen several times this spring.
