Probably based on ECMWF which says that band up north is not coming south and this was the main event for the Seattle area.   No idea if that is right but that is probably why that app shows that.

Just got home to 1.2” here in South Everett. CZ did its thing. Be very interesting to see how long these bands of snow can hang on as the cold dry air continues to filter in.

Almost sunset, so not much threat of the sun coming out and melting it. Odds are at least some of it lasts till the arctic front freezes it.

Strangely that southern c-zone is lifting north again.    Snowing a little harder here but don't think it will last too much longer.
