Low of 41°F here. Bellingham does tend to get hit by the onshore flow fairly early in the process, definitely earlier than the Portland area, which tends to be delayed both in starting and ending times compared to us.

Not sure its about the offshore vs onshore... its about the clouds across most of western WA in this weak warm front pattern.

'Low to mid 40s across most of the Seattle area too...

Gfs and euro both seem to be in decent agreement over the next week. Seems like the system on Friday has been trending weaker. Both seem to point to some decent rain finally showing up in about a week but the euro is rainier in the 7-10 day period.

Tacoma WA elevation 300’

Monthly rainfall-3.56”

Warm season rainfall-11.14”

Max temp-88

+80 highs-2

FWIW... the 00Z EPS was quite dry for WA and OR over the next 15 days.

Eventually the firehose is going to turn on. We avoided the firehose pattern until mid December last year...we will see how long it takes for us to get a decent storm track going. Like some others have said the past couple weeks I wouldn’t be surprised if we got really wet like we did in late fall 2006.

I sure there will be really wet periods... but its possible that we continue with the blocky theme with alternating wet and dry periods.

Looks like I nailed my prediction of lows overachieving in Western Oregon. Honestly it was an easy call. Clear skies, light winds, DP in the 20s, no way lows were going to stay up in the mid 30s.

Beautiful frosty morning here. Hit a low of 28 which makes for back to back 20s. 30 currently.

Nice to see PDX score another freeze too.

Sounds nice! I am very disappointed not to get a freeze out of this somewhat historic cold snap 😟

44 with clouds this morning.

Wow, can't believe its been so mild up there. The south/north gradient has been utterly insane the last few days.

I'm sure your guys' time will come.

Last year we had a September blast and an October blast, so it’s definitely possible for two of them to follow in fairly quick succession early in the season.

It's called clown range for a reason.

What was looking like an extended boring stretch in the mid to long range suddenly got a lot more interesting with the 12z models. Let's hope the Euro follows suit.

The next seven days look pretty bland.  I thought you never looked past that?
