Decent improvement on the 12z FS ensemble.  It has a much better look on the 500mb mean after Christmas.

This run is so much better already than the 12z GFS/GEM Op.

Some hope for a white Christmas here... 12Z ECMWF shows snow on the back side of that front on Monday night.

Just a trace this morning too. Don't tell me this is one of those seasons where most of my list is T's or wets.
That's fine too as long as a few impressive storms occur in the foreseeable future.

10 PM Saturday to 4 AM Tuesday. Watch how the frontal boundary slides south, then lifts north/Anafront, and then eventually slides southeast out of the area.

That would be some shizz if the South Sound got 3 inches and I get flurries.

The 12Z ECMWF shows about 8-12 inches of snow in my area on Monday night... followed by a couple mostly sunny, very chilly days.

Interestingly enough the EURO shows strong NW winds as the frontal boundary slides back south after giving Seattle some snow. Correct me if I’m wrong but wintertime northwesterly wind events aren’t terribly frequent.

Sorry. It's just something that is tossed around here quite a bit on the 10 day meteograms that always makes me cringe.

On a positive note, it's nice to finally see some GOA blocking around day 15 and I think the early next week trough could be a nice little warning shot!
