Had to be February.  The one overrunning event in December had a lot of mid level warmth.

Here's the news story I was looking at. Mentions 2 feet of snow along Hood Canal and collapsing roofs from the rain that followed in December 1995.

Probably a typo referring to December 1996.

Yeah the one I was thinking of was February 13th, 1995. If I remember correctly it stayed snow for portions of the Hood Canal area long enough for them to get at least 2 feet. East wind was too dry for areas East of the Sound to get hardly anything I believe.

I vaguely remember on my old vhs tapes of January 1996 that the Kitsap area got hammered with wet snow which caused major tree damage...I thought it was the first week of January or so? Then we all got hammered later in the month.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

It's objectively hard to imagine a worse pattern than the one we are stuck in right now. I've never seen such a relentlessly persistent GOA trough before. Hopefully it will finally start to break down around the middle of the month.

Glad you're enjoying Cyberpunk. I've been playing Red Dead 2 quite a bit since I got it and it's worth playing just for the visuals and setting - some people might not like all the horse riding but I love it. Gorgeous game.

Funny how revered 1995-96 was considering by the mid portion of this month most had not seen a single flake as well.  The early Decrember event was entirely ice, for all practical purposes.

I thought about that one but I think we had some light snow/sleet at the onset of the 12/9 ice storm. And then we essentially had snow at midwinter with the measurable storm on 1/18. So I think it's safe to say that it was operating on a faster timeline than this year.

2001-02 was another one with just stray flakes through midwinter, and then measurable snow on 1/21.

1989-90 does fit the bill though if you stretch it past 30, I don't think it had any local flakeage until the end of January.

The blade ain’t nearly big enough for a post-SSW world.

Although I’d love to see my wife try to shatter that blade with her Mazda CX-5...
