Your north of Seattle right? System this weekend is a good bet for the northerners.

Probably will be a snowstorm for all of western WA this weekend. Sometimes models underdo precip on the north side of these systems too. Wouldn’t be surprised if it snowed all the way up north towards mossman a little bit Thursday/Friday.

You can clearly see the cold air damming along the east slopes of the coast range. Snow down to McMinnville, ZR/sleet almost to Corvallis. Meanwhile further east the rain line is still north of Wilsonville.

these events are always suxh great geography lessons aren't they andrew

The NAM is ridiculous. It has temps in the upper 20s at EUG by 3a Friday. 20 at PDX.

Who knows how the systems early next week will play out either. Too far out to see those could be decent snow producers.

It’s been said before and I will say it again: true, regionwide snowstorms are rare. The winters that are snowy regionwide typically are so by virtue of multiple events, and it is normal for southern areas to get snow before northern ones in such scenarios.

NAM re-energizes the precip around midnight Friday and Salem to Kelso really get hammered. Snowline moves south to between Albany/Salem.

Love the Methow!  We ended up with property in Winthrop and built a vacation home.  A great location for snow lovers! All the Mazama has twice the snow as Winthrop.. Ha!

Saturday is still looking good though.  I can wait I guess.  I just hate to see a big warmup right after the snow though.

I’m hoping Whatcom County holds on for few extra days then goes out with an ice storm, simply because I got used to winter events ending that way in Portland and it would be nice for old time’s sake.

So you want us to be cold and snowless, then get hit with an ice storm? Move back to Portland lol
